Year 12 Engineering students present ideas

The Year 12 Engineering students were presenting their ideas to the staff at Produmax. Produmax set the challenge for the students to find a solution to increase the speed of production in the manufacture of some of their aerospace components. Each of the students had to research materials and components and create a variety of solutions.

Despite the students being nervous, they all had to present to Paul Birtles, Operations Director, and George Johnson, Deputy Quality Manager, both of which were highly impressed with the students. Paul also impressed upon them the importance of the ‘softer life skills’ such as presenting and engaging with people that are not directly linked with school.
