STEM

STEM is an exciting topic that creates lots of jobs that our pupils can imagine themselves doing in the future. At TSS, we encourage pupils to join in extra-curricular activities that promote the skills needed in STEM roles and allow them to develop what they have learnt into the classroom in a “real world” context.

Some of the events pupils have been able to get involved in have included:

• Trips to Yorkshire Water
• Science and Technology Challenge Days
• STEM week
• “We Solve It” AMEY challenge
• “Net Zero Island” challenge

We are constantly developing our STEM provisions and creating partnerships with local firms to encourage our pupils to consider this as a future for them.
