Let us be your stepping stone to your next life choice

Our Personal Development (PD) programme is timetabled fortnightly for all students. It has been designed to:

  • Provide vital advice and guidance for future planning.
  • Enable students to fully understand all available pathways as they consider what comes next – university, apprenticeship, employment or gap year.
  • Support students as they take on more responsibility as young adults in the wider community.

The lesson is timetabled each Week 1 Wednesday during Period 3 (11.20am – 12.25pm).

As well as working with their Personal Tutors, students meet and learn from visiting experts and professionals who offer perspectives from a wide variety of backgrounds. We cover topics related to core themes: respectful relationships, staying healthy, finance, careers, staying safe and good citizens. Support and guidance relating to core themes

In addition, we offer a timetabled EPQ study programme, targeted support for students considering Oxbridge, medicine/nursing or veterinary science and support for athletes who play at county level, or higher.
