Theatre performances

This month, KS4 and KS5 drama students have visited Bingley Little Theatre and Ilkley Playhouse to see local productions of ‘Bedroom Farce’ and ‘Girls Like That’.  Of particular relevance to young people, ‘Girls Like That’ explored themes of body image, cyber-bullying, gender equality, modern female friendship and the pressures on today’s digital generation. Post-performance the pupils took part in a Q and A session with the cast and director, posing questions about staging choices, working as part of an ensemble and debating whether the events presented in the show were realistic of life for female teens in 2023.  A thoroughly enjoyable and valuable experience for all pupils.
