Student Council Visit to the Student Voice Conference at City Hall, Bradford
29/02/2024

Four representatives from our School Council had the opportunity to attend the Student Voice Conference at City Hall. Pupils took part in this enriching experience, where they not only shared best practices but also engaged in meaningful discussions with pupils from various other schools in Bradford.
The conference provided a platform for pupils to voice their opinions, ideas, and concerns about various aspects of their school lives. It was an inspiring sight to witness pupils from different backgrounds coming together to discuss common issues and brainstorm solutions. Our representatives actively participated in these discussions, contributing their insights and learning from others’ experiences.
One of the highlights of the event was the opportunity to meet with local councillors. Our pupils had the chance to interact with these community leaders, discussing matters pertinent to our school and local area. It was a valuable exchange that allowed our pupils to understand the role of local government better and advocate for their peers effectively.
Our pupils also had the privilege of visiting the Courtroom and Council Chamber at City Hall. These visits provided them with a glimpse into the workings of local governance and the judicial system. It was a memorable experience that enhanced their understanding of civic processes and responsibilities.
