Poetry Slam

As part of Bradford’s City of Culture events, we worked with Author’s Abroad to host a poetry slam day to 70 of our year 7 and Year 8 pupils back in February but there were just so many talented groups that we simply couldn’t whittle it down to 3 for the final.

We scheduled a bonus judging session where 6 enthusiastic groups battled to be crowned the winners and Mr Temple, Mrs McKenzie and Mr Leitch had a tough decision on their hands.

The successful group were Year 8 pupils: George, Taylor, Kailan, Riley, Abdullah and Jacob with their poem ‘I’m in the Game’ and they have been invited to perform at Bradford’s Poetry Slam Final on 12th June 2025. We wish you the best of luck!
