Poetry Slam

As part of Bradford’s City of Culture events, we worked with Author’s Abroad to host a poetry slam day to 70 of our year 7 and Year 8 pupils back in February but there were just so many talented groups that we simply couldn’t whittle it down to 3 for the final.

We scheduled a bonus judging session where 6 enthusiastic groups battled to be crowned the winners and Mr Temple, Mrs McKenzie and Mr Leitch had a tough decision on their hands.

The successful group were Year 8 pupils: George, Taylor, Kailan, Riley, Abdullah and Jacob with their poem ‘I’m in the Game’ and they have been invited to perform at Bradford’s Poetry Slam Final on 12^th June 2025. We wish you the best of luck!
