Poetry Anthology Launch

On Thursday, the 6^th Form Centre once again was proud to host the book launch of this year’s First Story poetry anthology. This year’s anthology, ‘Rubbing Heads Together to Share Evil Plans’ was met by an enthusiastic crowd of parents, carers and guardians who had all gathered to see the authors deliver superb readings of selections from the anthology. Accompanied by video and visual records of the hard work contributed by the illustrators, Andy Craven Griffiths (who had led on the project with support by Ms Skaife and Ms Metcalfe) echoed the sentiments of the whole department when he alluded to how impressed he was by the journey the writing team had gone on.

Mr Temple presented the certificates of recognition and the session finished with a fantastic poem, which had been edited on the spot by members of the writing team, created through contributions from various attendees on the evening.
