Bradford Museum brought to life in classroom!
30/06/2026
Objects in museum displays have labels that list information known about an object, such as where it was found, where and how it was made, what it might have been used for, this week our Year 7 pupils were able to view some of these artefacts up close when the Education Team from Bradford Council Museums delivered activities to our young historians during their history lessons. Pupils made inferences from the objects to determine what objects should be included in the museum, from pre-historic to 20th century. This activity helped to develop pupil’s cultural capital by understanding their local history and understand the important role of museums and the work of curators.
Mr Sanderson, Leader of History said: “Pupils thoroughly enjoyed the activities and it helped bring History to life. For many, it was the first time they examined historical artefacts first hand.”
