This is an exciting and challenging role within our Caroline Salt Centre CSC (Inclusion Hub) and the successful applicant will have patience, a sense of humour and an ability to relate positively to young people; all of whom will need particular help to overcome barriers to learning. You will join a dedicated team, providing behaviour support to pupils, challenging and motivating pupils, understanding and supporting their needs and promoting their self-esteem.
You will be expected to support pupils with challenging behaviours to help them develop their social and emotional wellbeing to improve their behaviours, as well as provide guidance, motivation, and role modelling; the role will also involve setting goals to improve behaviour and focus on aspirations in next steps and career goals.
We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school with outstanding facilities, a state-of-the-art learning environment; we are extremely popular and oversubscribed. The school is within easy reach of Leeds, Huddersfield and Wakefield and the surrounding district.

You will join a dedicated team, providing behaviour support to pupils, challenging and motivating pupils and promoting their self-esteem.
The Behaviour Support Team work with pupils who are finding it difficult to meet our behaviour expectations via mentoring, interventions and classroom support, ensuring they have every opportunity to be successful. The team also runs our Time Away from School Community (TASC) room and respond to incidents during the school day. As part of this team, you would be undertaking all of these activities as part of a planned rota.
