Acting Success

Talented actor Alex, in Year 13, has just returned from performing at the National Theatre in London. He worked with Ilkley Players Greenroom on a challenging new play, Circle Dreams Around (The Terrible, Terrible Past) as part of Connections 2023, the UKs biggest annual youth theatre festival. Alex said; “The festival was an opportunity like no other. Given how abstract the play was it was really interesting to create our characters from the ground up. It’s been quite the journey from our first rehearsal in January to our performance in York and then at the NT. I’d encourage anyone loves acting to audition for the Connections festival; it’s à worthwhile experience.”
