We are an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school that is extremely popular and oversubscribed. We moved into our new school building in September 2008 and have outstanding facilities and a state of the art learning environment.

Train to Teach

Teacher training at Titus Salt School

Titus Salt School has been a partner with Leeds SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) for over 12 years and together we offer teacher training placements in a range of subjects. Titus Salt School is the lead School for Computer Science/IT and Design & Technology.

Leeds SCITT operates in collaboration with Leeds Trinity University, so they offer an opportunity to train alongside leading subject experts with experience, commitment and a drive to produce the finest teachers, all backed with the latest university-led research. Titus Salt School offers graduate teacher training via a school-based training route with the possibility of a job offer, here or at another school within the partnership, on successful completion of the course.

If you choose to train in one of our lead subjects, you will spend quality time with your subject lead mentor looking at that subject in practice. You will get hands on experience within a school environment from week 2 of the course to prepare you for your subsequent placements. The placements may take place here or in other schools partnered with Leeds Trinity University.
