To finish off an amazing year of results for our dedicated pupils at climbing club, Mr Stewart organised a trip to Doe Park. Doe Park is a specialist centre for outdoor activities and education, situated on Doe Park reservoir in Denholme.

In beautiful surrounding the Park has great facilities with an outdoor climbing tower, high ropes course and “leap of faith”.  The high ropes course is about 9m high with wobbly bridges, rigging and narrow beams to cross.  The Leap of Faith involved climbing up to a small platform perched on top of an 8m telegraph pole.  The only way down was to step off (or jump) and let the rope lower you down. All the pupils had a great time and showed how competent and confident they’ve become over the year at climbing club with climbing equipment and techniques.

Club Leader Mr Stewart said: “It’s been a fantastic year at climbing club; it was nice to see the pupils having fun and showing off their head for heights at Doe Park."
