Pupils and staff members of the newly formed group, the Eco club, are working towards a Bronze Eco Schools Award. The club run by Mr Trusselle and Mr Doughty once a week, have already planted over 200 trees in the school grounds, in an effort to save the habitat of woodland creatures. Other projects, including looking into usage of plastics within school and how this can be reduced, improving recycling signs and litter picking around school are also on the horizon.

The Eco club provides opportunity to empower pupils to lead change and have a positive impact within school and the wider community. The club encourages pupils to work together to develop their knowledge as well as environmental awareness. The club has seen a good number of pupils attend but there is always room for more! It’s heartening to know that young people care about the environment and making the world we live in more sustainable.

Anyone who would like to be part of this fantastic worthwhile club please see Mr Trusselle or Mr Doughty.
