Titus Salt School students took the plunge and competed for the first time in over a decade in the Bingley Amateur Swimming Club Schools' Gala on Saturday 18 March.  As the final points were announced Titus Salt were in joint 3rd position but narrowly missed the bronze medal as they had achieved fewer first and second places than the other team. The team comprising Year 7 to Year 13 showed immense strength of body and mind and swam brilliantly overcoming those first competition nerves.

Representing the Year 7 and 8s were Corey Green, Fraser Buxton, Poppy Woodhead, Freya Brearley and Niamh Teale Baldwin and representing the senior category in Years 9 to 13 were Joshua Taylor, Anthony Christie, Jade Buxton, Danielle Taylor and Phoebe Parry.

Mr and Mrs Varley, the team managers said:
"All the team thoroughly enjoyed the day and felt very proud of their position on the scoreboard. We look forward to trying to improve on this next year and coming back to Titus Salt School with some medals."
