Raza Hussain, Year 8, entered the Mother Tongue Other Tongue Poster Competition and was chosen as one of the winners for Key Stage 3.

Raza said: “I’d finished my Spanish work ahead of some so I was asked by Miss Milnes if I wanted to design a poster for the Mother Tongue Other Tongue Competition. I’m so happy I took part; winning is great and my prize was brilliant. I’m going to enjoy using my art set in particular”

Raza received a selection of art materials as his prize and has also been invited to a Celebration Event on the 20th February at Sheffield Hallam University, where Raza’s poster will be displayed in the Pennine Lecture Theatre and Atrium along with other winners.

The Mother Tongue Other Tongue Poster Competition is a multilingual poster competition that celebrates cultural diversity and the many languages currently spoken and studied across the Yorkshire and Humber region.
