Denys Salt Sixth Form Prospectus Which route will be right for me? Route A allows you opportunity to study A Level subjects and requires a minimum of 5 GCSE passes including English and Mathematics. Grades at GCSE should be mainly 6-9. If you follow Route A, you will be expected to take three subjects ( four in exceptional cases). We set specific entry requirements to help ensure you are able to make good progress and achieve the highest grades possible. The most important factor for achieving success in Sixth Form is selecting the correct route at the start of Year 12. We want everyone to leave our Sixth Form having been successful in their subjects and be able to follow the university, apprenticeship or employment path of their choice.
