On Thursday 3 March our Year 13 BTEC Business students heard from Peter Bainbridge, Export Advisor at Chamber International. The presentation gave them information to help them understand the role that international trade plays in the success of UK businesses and about how international trade can open a world of career opportunities.
Peter explained how exports represent 30% of the UK’s GDP(Growth Domestic Product); international trade supports 6.5 million UK jobs and jobs linked to exporting pay above the national average. The information covered will be invaluable in helping the students complete their Unit 5 International Business Unit.
