Titus Salt School is a very popular choice for families and since 1990 we have been oversubscribed.

Admission to TSS is controlled by Bradford Council and our official Pupil Admissions Number (PAN) is 250 in mainstream; this changed in 2017 in response to the increased demand for places in the locality. We are able to accommodate 250 in mainstream Year 7 through careful planning of our teaching staff and resources, because of this we do not have the capacity to extend other year groups mid-year.

TSS has a very successful and popular Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) for pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) who have an EHCP; currently this provision is oversubscribed. For September 2018, the number of pupils joining the DSP in Year 7 will be seven. There is agreement that the DSP will increase its capacity to 30 pupils as part of the Bradford SEND Strategy to meet the demand for specialist SEND provision. The agreed plan for refurbishment has not yet been completed by Bradford Council and the facilities management company responsible for the building.

When allocating places, Bradford Council takes into account residency and family connections to the school. Parents/carers can appeal if a place is not offered in the first instance.

Further information:

Entry into sixth form

Entry requirements are set by TSS and full details of these can be found in the sixth form prospectus on the website. Year 11 pupils currently on roll at TSS may proceed to Year 12 where the entry requirements are met. The school also welcomes applications from pupils at other schools. These pupils must complete an application form and return it to the school by the date specified.

Could you be a volunteer for the Schools Admissions Appeals Panel?

Parents/carers have the right to express a preference for the school they would like their child to attend. If a place at that school cannot be offered, parents/carers then have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel.
