Interfaith Day 2012

On 22 November a group of Year 7 students were involved in the first ever Titus Salt School Interfaith Day. They took part in a host of activities based around the theme of ‘Turning Points,’ including an enquiry about religious and non religious figures who have experienced life changing events that subsequently had a huge international impact.

The overwhelming highlight was having the opportunity to meet six members of the local community representing different belief systems and being able to ask them interesting questions about their beliefs and way of life.

Our students were asked for feedback at the end and everyone said it was a very positive day that had helped them to appreciate the importance of learning about beliefs that are not our own. One Year 7 student said: “It helped me to learn not to judge a book by its cover."

Well done to all students and thank you to all our visitors.
