About This Gallery
This Design and Make assignment focuses on cutting, shaping and finishing manmade board. Students carried out research, design and drawing tasks before moving onto the manufacture of the clock. Students had to learn how to use a jigsaw, coping saw, disk sander and file to cut and shape their plywood sheet. Once they had finished shaping their material a vinyl cutter was used alongside other surface finishes, adding detail. Students attached the clock mechanism to the product and ensured it could be wall mounted.
