Work Experience Overview
In the summer term all Year 10 students are offered the chance to experience the world of work. Some students make their own arrangements whilst others have relevant placements found for them. The students are introduced to the workplace via introductory presentations detailing what an employer is looking for, qualifications, personality and attitude. They are also versed in Health and Safety to ensure they are prepared. They complete a record of the work placement and are encouraged to send a letter of thanks after the event. As recognition of their efforts they receive a certificate once this is completed.
